Designing "Chances are, you won't get an opportunity to sit down with prospective clients and convince them over a cup of coffee that your company is the best fit for their needs. Then, how does anyone ever gain new clients?? In order to really capture a prospective client's attention and gain their respect, your logo is your best bet. "
-Ray Smith, Marketing Expert
The logo for your company is a vital and important symbol for your success. It is this symbol that is used as the center piece for our web designing process, and it is this symbol that is represents your company, services, or products on advertising and marketing materials. Why is that representation important? It is the energy that impacts your potential clients! People do not just buy a watch, a massage, or a book- they buy the experience that it will ignite within them. If your business is construction your logo must emanate a sense of stability and structure. If you are a aesthetician, your logo should portray a sense of beauty and refinement. I believe that marketing-wise the fees, rates, even the experience or education of an individual or company does not matter as much as the ability of them to emotionally reach their potential clientele.
What we Need From You
What Mediums will you use your Logo on? This is important. You are not going to use your logo in only one medium, you might use it on your business cards and stationery, you might use it in your website, you might also use it in the conventional media like newspaper classifieds and magazines. If you are going to use your logo on a website (which will most likely require a larger, more high-quality resolution Logo), as well as in newspaper ads (which will require the Logo to be reduced in size without losing the meaning of the design, and changed to B&W) than you are going to need a bold and simple representation.
What Logos do you like and dislike? The more research you do on your specific preferences the more you will be pleased with the end result of your Logo Design. Develop and communicate your self-awareness and you will save money! we deeply advocate never taking away the power of the client. Although we may have the creative hand, it is you who has a deeper knowing of what feels good. Research, educate, and come to the consultation enthused to start the creative process with a clear mind!
So what makes a logo great? Your logo should be able to build a emotionally positive, mentally strong and long lasting impression on existing and prospective customers. Companies often make the mistake of thinking that a complicated artistic design might work well for them, while the reverse is true, in most cases. The simpler your logo is, the easier it is to remember and so it leaves a stronger impression on the people. That is where my own motto comes into play, "Creative Simplicity." With a relatively small and simple design we must create a representation of the disposition, character, or fundamental values of your company through your logo. Although you may be attracted to a flashy, detailed, and colorful logo for you and your company, do you wonder if you are over thinking it? What happens when you see the all time great logos, McDonalds’, IBM, Nike? Even if you see a part of it, or maybe in Black and White, are you able to think of anything else other than the respective company? The answer is definitely NO! The first thing that comes to your mind is their name and service. This shows how strong of an impression a logo can make in our mind. And what is the formula for this memory recall with the public? The key to this question is to make it easy to remember. Simplicity!
How the Design Process Works:
FREE CONSULTATION
This consultation is free, so that we may clearly communicate without pressure. It is important to go through this process to see if we are suited for eachother in the creative process. We want your logo to successfully convey the character and nature of your business to its viewers. How do we do that? There are a host of factors that are considered before designing a logo. It is your job to give a clear description of your company profile, the industry you are in and the nature of the logo that you are looking for. Some of the key questions that we ask are:
What Product or Service do you sell?
What is the mission of you and/or your company?
What are your customers like?
What are some of the key words that you want to come across when someone looks at your logo (professional, artistic, inspiring, grounded, simple. etc.)?
What color, objects, or images would best represent you or your company?
What Mediums will your Logo be used on (refer to Homework LeftBar)?
What Logos that you have seen do you love?
Do you have a motto that you want included on the design?
What keywords, ideas, or visions do you have to contribute to your logo?
If you are not sure about the nature of a logo that suits your company, let me decide on that. We can research the different types of logos used in your industry by your competitors and evaluate their impact on the clientele.
